Like other mobile users, you must have your thoughts about the future of phone designs, materials and capabilities, amongst other things. Even though mobile users can speculate about the technology of the future, the truth is that it’s hard to tell what these devices will be like in the next decade. When it comes to future mobile phone design, be it plastic, metal, ceramic or glass, do you think the makers are creating a harmony or mayhem in the industry?

Mobile phones have been advancing with tremendous speed so the marvelous technologies today are carrying out amazing activities. Likewise, cell phone designs are going beyond what most people imagine. As of such, future mobile designs are expected to be very eye-catching. Global players such as Apple, Nokia, Motorola and Samsung are in fierce competition to introduce unimaginable devices to control the mobile market.

 

The Future of Mobile Phone Design

With the growing popularity of mobile phones in the past decade, the manufacturers are showing off their creativity through various designs. There are screens with Retina displays, Gorilla glass and more, so it won’t be surprising to see materials that will change as users touch the device. Gamers would definitely love this technology!

There are some flexible and whippy models being created to give comfort and exquisite looks. In addition, plastic mobile phones are replaced with biodegradable /eco-friendly handsets. Pretty soon the mobile phones will be made with Carbon Fiber shells, so the future handsets could be almost indestructible with shockproof, waterproof and fireproof features.

According to the reports, Samsung has finalized the design for its Galaxy S3 Smartphone. There are rumors that the brand-new Android device is being designed with a ceramic casing instead of plastic or metal. Some speculate that this is to help reception as metal casing cause interference with cell signals. Some other note worthy features rumored are a large screen 4.65 or 4.8 inch, 1.5GHz Quadcore Samsung Exynos CPU, and ultra thin.

Not to be left out, Apple is said to be making a mobile phone with a casing entirely from glass. This would mean that the device itself is going to be hermetically sealed and material, will be radio transparent and resistant to water. The casing for iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S are quite similar to this concept as it is made of a steel frame and two pieces of glass. Among the the rumors for the new Apple iPhone are speculations it would be sporting a larger screen and 4G capabilities.

So, metal, carbon fibre, plastic, glass, leather and more are been used to make mobile phone casings. Now, who knows we might start to see new materials like gel being used to change the shape of nano-technology.
